Miracle On Morton Street Celebrates its 18^th Year!

Join us on Saturday, December 5th

in Historic Downtown Richmond!

The first Saturday of December marks the 18^th Annual Miracle on Morton Street, historic downtown Richmond’s celebration of the holiday season. This year’s event, brought to you by the Historic Richmond Association (HRA), will have something for everyone as vendors, merchants and activities will be waiting for you in downtown Richmond on December 5th from 10 am – 4 pm!

This annual event brings traditional activities, such as a Kids’ Zone and ‘Letters to Santa’ at the downtown Post Office.  As in prior years, the streets will be lined with vendors from across Texas, and downtown merchants will have their stores decorated and stocked for your holiday shopping.  Food vendors, as well as food trucks, will round out the experience along with a variety of entertainment provided throughout the day.

Come out and see our Merchant’s Christmas Decorating Extravaganza on December 5th in the heart of Historic Downtown Richmond, and cast your vote for Best Merchant Storefront Decoration on Facebook from December 4th-15th!

Christmas Community Walk, Tree Lighting Ceremony & Gingerbread House Contest!

To add to the excitement of Miracle on Morton Street, this year’s celebration starts the night before with the Christmas Community Walk. This event held on Friday, December 4 will kick off with the Tree Lighting Ceremony at Richmond City Hall at 6 pm.  After the tree is lit, the community is encouraged to take a stroll down 5th Street  and the surrounding blocks to check out the churches and venues open and decorated for the holiday season.

AND don’t forget the Gingerbread House Decorating Contest!

Entries will be delivered and judged on Friday night, and then all the houses will be on display on Morton Street the next day!
